We are delighted to share the heartwarming success story of our second CSR initiative this year. The CA Sri Lanka Canada Chapter reached out to the students of Erepola Mahinda Vidyalaya's Cadet Platoon, offering a helping hand in the form of a generous donation. This support provided them with much-needed shoes, t-shirts, and suitcases, enabling their participation in the Rantambe Cadet Camp – a historical first for their school.
These exceptional students not only participated but also emerged as champions at the Camp. Their triumph is a testament to their unwavering dedication and hard work, underscoring the power of collective support and community engagement. We take immense pride in being a part of this monumental achievement.
Our heartfelt congratulations go out to these remarkable students, and we wish to acknowledge the pivotal roles played by our Chapter President, Ms. Nilmini Fernando, and the Head of CSR Committee, Ms. Sureka Randunu. Their visionary leadership and tireless efforts have left a profound impact on the lives of these students. We eagerly anticipate more successful initiatives in the future as we continue to make a difference in the community.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka collaborated with 'Gammadda' to launch a vital initiative aimed at providing clean water to students in Ibbagamuwa. The residents of this village, particularly the children, have been severely affected by the lack of access to clean water, leading to kidney problems and even fatalities. Sadly, several deaths occur each year due to kidney failure in this community.
This humanitarian project is generously funded by CA Sri Lanka, with crucial support from its dedicated members and corporate partners who share a strong belief in this noble cause.
As the Canada Chapter of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, we are proud to be part of this meaningful endeavor. It marks our inaugural CSR initiative since the Chapter's establishment in February this year.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Nilmini Fernando, the President of the Canada Chapter, and Ms. Sureka Randunu, the Head of the CSR Committee, for their exceptional leadership and dedication in uniting us for this cause. We'd also like to express our appreciation to Ms. Jani Ganeshan from CA Sri Lanka for her instrumental role in leading the project and bringing us into this noble initiative.
The Canada Chapter is committed to standing by Sri Lanka, and we eagerly look forward to participating in future projects as well. Together, we can make a meaningful difference.
