1. Purpose and Scope
This policy applies to all members of the CA Sri Lanka Canada Chapter (the Chapter), as well as individuals who may be recognized as associated with CA Sri Lanka through participation in the Chapter’s official or informal social media groups.
The purpose of this policy is to protect the Chapter and its members while promoting responsible and respectful engagement on social media. It supports CA Sri Lanka’s values of professionalism, integrity, and accountability. While not intended to restrict personal expression, it ensures that online activities reflect the dignity and ethical standards expected of CA Sri Lanka members.

2. Platforms Covered
This policy applies to all social media and digital communication platforms commonly used for networking, professional engagement, video or photo sharing, blogging, podcasts, or online collaboration. It includes WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, X (Twitter), Telegram, TikTok, blogs, podcasts, forums, and any emerging platforms. The policy applies whether such platforms are used personally or professionally when an individual can be identified as associated with the Chapter.

In cases of widespread inappropriate activity, Admins may temporarily restrict posting rights until the Executive Committee completes its review.
6. Member Participation and Rejoining Policy
Members who voluntarily exit an official Chapter social media group will be removed from all related groups. Reinstatement will only be considered upon written request with a reasonable justification (e.g., change in circumstances or misunderstanding), subject to Executive Committee approval.
7. Response Time
The Chapter’s social media accounts are managed by volunteers. While every effort will be made to respond promptly, immediate replies cannot be guaranteed.
8. Breach of Policy
