NILUKA ABEYGUNARATNE - PRESIDENT
Niluka Abeygunaratne is the President of the Canada Chapter. He is someone with a decade of experience in accounting, financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting, and auditing. He is currently working as a Senior Financial Accountant in Toronto, Ontario. He is a lecturer at Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka and lecturer for Strategic Level of CA Sri Lanka and CMA Sri Lanka.
Niluka holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Management from University of Northumbria, United Kingdom. He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (FCA), Associate Member of ACCA, and a CFA Charterholder.
ASINTHA HEWAGE - VICE PRESIDENT
Asintha Hewage serves as the Vice President of the Chapter and he has over a decade of experienced in the fields of Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, and Financial Analysis. He is currently serving as a Senior Accountant in Mississauga, Ontario.
Asintha holds a Bachelor's Degree from University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (FCA) and a member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, United Kingdom (CIMA).
NILMINI FERNANDO - IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT
Nilmini Fernando was the President of the inaugural Executive Committee of the Chapter and currently serving as a Director.
She is a Finance Manager in Vancouver, British Columbia with over 20 years of experience in Accounting, Finance and Auditing.
Nilmini holds an MBA from the University of Canada West and a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Accounting from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. She is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (FCA) and an Associate Member of CPA Australia.
PASAN HETTIARACHCHI - IMMEDIATE PAST VICE PRESIDENT
Pasan Hettiarachchi was the Vice President of the inaugral Executive Committee of the Chapter and has almost a decade of experience in accounting, auditing, and finance. He is currently working as a Senior Accountant in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Pasan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ACA) and a member of CPA Canada.
SANJI JAYATHILAKE - SECRETARY
Sanji Jayathilake is the Secretary of the Chapter. She is a Team Lead and a Senior Property Accountant in Vancouver, British Columbia with over 15 years of experience in Accounting and Auditing.
Sanji holds an MBA from the University of Canada West and a holds a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka, with a Second Class Upper Division. She is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (FCA). Sanji was a Visiting lecturer in SAB Campus, CA Sri Lanka and at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
CHATHURI FERNANDO - ASSISTANT SECRETARY
Chathuri Fernando is the Assistant Secretary of the Chapter and has over 8 years of experience in Accounting, Internal Auditing, Risk Management, and Financial Analysis. She is currently serving as an Accountant in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Chathuri holds an MBA from the University of Canada West and a Bachelor's Degree in Operations and Technology Management from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. She is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ACA).
SIVARASHA VATHANAKUMAR - TREASURER
Sivarasha Vathanakumar as the Treasurer of the Chapter. He counts more than a decade of experience in Accounting and Auditing. He is currently serving as a Senior Accountant at NVS Professional Corporation in Markham, Ontario.
Sivarasha holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ACA), and a Member of CPA Australia.
HESHAN BANDARA - ASSISTANT TREASURER
Heshan Bandara is a Senior Accountant at a Private Company in New Westminster, British Columbia, with more than six years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, and Taxation.
Heshan holds an MBA from the University of Canada West and a Bachelor’s in Accountancy and Finance from the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ACA) and is currently pursuing CPA Canada.
VISHWANATH KUMAR - DIRECTOR
Vishwanath Kumar is a Director of the Chapter and has been an instrumental member in forming the Chapter. He counts over fifteen years of experience in the industry mainly focused on auditing, internal auditing, and IT audits. He is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer of Fab Form Industries Limited in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Vishwanath holds an MBA from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (FCA) as well as a Fellow Member of the Institute of Accounting Technicians (AAT) of Sri Lanka.
SHASHI PERERA - DIRECTOR
Shashi serves as a Director of the Chapter. She has over a decade of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and Auditing. She is currently working as a Financial Analyst in Toronto, Ontario.
Shashi holds an MBA from the University of West London, UK and a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. She is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Sri Lanka (ACA) and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK (ACCA).
INDIWARI AMBANWALA - DIRECTOR
Indiwari serves as a Director of the Chapter. She is currently working as an Assistant Financial Controller in Oakville, Ontario. She counts sixteen years of experience in Accounting, Finance and Auditing.
She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration from University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. She is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ACA).
HASANTHI SANDAMALI - DIRECTOR
Hasanthi serves as a Director of the Chapter. She is a public sector Senior Financial Accountant with an extensive background in Financial Management, Risk & Assurance.
Hasanthi holds an MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management - University of Sri Jayewardenepura and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from University of Colombo. She is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ACA). She is also a Certified Chartered Accountant from ACCA-UK and, a Certified Management Accountant from CIMA UK & the American Institute of CPAs.
